31 Days of Missional Living: In The City (Day 8)

How was your weekend? Were you able to connect with more neighbors on Nextdoor.com and invite them to the event your hosting this month? I hope you're enjoying engaging your neighborhood as you learn how simple it can be. This week we'll be discussing missional living in the sphere of your city. Dwight L. Moody shared the following about influencing cities:
"Water runs downhill and the highest hills in America are the great cities. If we can stir them we shall stir the whole country."
Think about that for a minute and if you're anything like me you'll get excited. Culture comes from our cities and influences the rest of the country. Allowing God to use you to influence culture has unlimited potential. This week we'll discuss some practical tips for living missionally in your city (or town, village, etc.). Start praying right now that God would give you an increased love for the people of your city and a desire to see your city thrive. Pray that you'll get a burden for the lost and broken of your city and an increased hatred toward sin.

Begin thinking about how your current engagement in your city can be increased or maximized. Be sure to come back tomorrow. It's going to be an exciting week!
